A week of ferry crossings, towering forests, quiet mornings, and the realization that some places feel like home before you've even left.
When I think back on Yellowstone, I don't remember individual landmarks first.
I remember color. Warm yellows and golds interspersed with earth’s rising steam.
I think of the peaceful loping of the bison... their presence felt like ancient, gentle giants. Residents of these wild lands.
